Japanese cars have claimed nine of the top 10 positions in the latest survey of reliable cars, including Honda.
According to the Consumer Reports 2011 Annual Reliability Survey results, the Honda CR-Z helped the manufacturer claim one of the top spots.
The survey findings are based on the input from around 1.3 million selected motorists, and road tests cars from 28 different brands. The data is then used to predict reliability of new 2012 models.
Hybrids proved extremely reliable in the survey's 40 different tests, with the Honda CR-Z receiving a rating as high as 97 out of 100.
The Honda CR-Z stands out as the world’s first hybrid with a sporty 6-speed manual gearbox, maintaining low emissions without compromising on an enjoyable driving experience.
It features an agile chassis, direct steering and low driving position, with loads of torque from the petrol-electric drivetrain.
Since its world debut in January this year, demand for the Honda CR-Z has been exceptional - over 10,000 orders placed in Japan in its debut month and 500 cars sold in the U.K. in its first month on the market. The Honda CR-Z is due on Australian shores by the end of the year.
